Weather Report!

We've seen the crocus come and go, the trees starting to get their buds and the narcissis blooming. Ahhhh! Can summer be far away? Also in April we've seen snow, sleet, hail, and some sun. One week in April the temperature was in the 60's F. (16 deg. C.) and the next week it was below freezing. Can't get bored with the weather here. Predicting the weather must be an art that nobody has been able to master yet because the weather report changes almost hourly.

Around Holland

When our friends were here we again visited a few of the places we had been before.

We went to Utrecht and Hein's nephew who lives there acted as our guide for an afternoon. It was great seeing the city through the eyes of one who lives there and loves it. It has become my favorite place to go shopping and after having Michael show us around it makes me want to go back often. It's only 20 minutes by train, and it's like one big shopping mall to me. In fact, if you want just a "shopping mall" experience, you don't even need to go outside - the train station is actually attached to one of the largest shopping malls in the area.

And the next time I go, I have to remember my camera.

Madurodam Shoes

We also took them to Keukenhof, the flower garden, and to the miniature city, Madurodam. I now have pages about Madurodam up with lots of photos. There was a Chinese Ice Sculpture exhibit there at the time and I've added a few photos we took of that, too. Couldn't stay in that exhibit long enough to take more pics, but I hope you'll enjoy the ones that are there.
