This is the prison in Utrecht. Here it is called "Huis van Bewaring". I understand that it is a maximum security prison, though the concept of maximum security here is a little different than in the USA. We could see lots of barbed wire as we went around the corner, so I'm sure it wouldn't be an easy prison to break out of. |
Here's a closer look at the boat in the above photo. The name on the boat is "Lobster", but I doubt that you'll find many lobsters in this canal. |

This shows more houses along the canal. As you can see, boating is also a favorite port here in Holland. |
We're coming up to a marina here. Soon we'll be turning into the area of the canal that goes through the center of the city.
