Along the way we saw quite a few of these tour boats and party boats as well as barges delivering beer to the restaurants along the canal. We were in the way of one beer barge who reminded us that we had a lot of time to cruise the canals and he didn't. The 3 mph that we were cruising wouldn't have been fast enough for a working boat.

These are photos of the front and back of the Conservatory. Utrecht is the home of one of the oldest and largest universities in Europe and this is building is widely known here.

As we passed this heron he stayed so still he was hardly breathing. There were a couple of fishermen nearby and he seemed to be watching to see if they would bring up a fish he could grab.
