***Exercise One***Changing border on Banner

Used the screen capture to get the above banner into PSP. Then to make the above border I first used the color picker tool to set my background color to one of the darker reds. Then added a border according to the instructions and after selecting the border, used Effects/Texture Effects/Tiles adjusting the settings so that the tiles would be small enough for the selected border.

***Exercise Two***Matting and Framing a Photo

The frame was done by picking a little of the red from the fall tree in the photo and using Effects/Reflection Effects/Pattern, trying different ones till I got a look I liked, then used the bevel effect so that it looks like a frame.

***Exercise Three***Making a Thumbnail

Made the thumbnail (below) from the banner at the top. The one on the left frame is linked to Virtual University. Probably should have made it a little bigger so that you could see what it says.
